The crowd at Wednesday's league battle between the Westview Wildcats (Portland, OR) and the host Mountainside Mavericks (Beaverton, OR), saw Westview's volleyball squad nudge Mountainside by a score of 3-2.

With the win, Westview improves its record to 10-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Sprague (Salem, OR) to encounter the Olympians in a non-league battle on Monday, October 6. The Olympians go into the battle with a record of 19-1. Sprague won 3-0 in their recent league battle against North Salem (Salem, OR)

The Mavericks now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jesuit for a 6A Metro contest on Tuesday, October 7. Mountainside will meet a Crusaders team coming off a 3-0 league win over Aloha (Beaverton, OR). The Crusaders record now stands at 14-4.
