The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) and the host Grossmont Foothillers (El Cajon, CA), saw Steele Canyon's volleyball squad beat Grossmont by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Steele Canyon upgrades its record to 20-8 on the year. The Cougars travel to Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA) to play the Matadors in a Grossmont Valley bout on Tuesday, October 17. The Matadors go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Mount Miguel lost 3-2 in their recent league bout against El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA)

The Foothillers now own a 16-13 record. They take the field next when they host Monte Vista for a Grossmont Valley match on Thursday, October 12. Grossmont will clash with a Monarchs squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Mount Miguel (Spring Valley, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 1-16.
