The Gate City Blue Devils tipped the visiting John Battle Trojans volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league game.
Next up, the Blue Devils confront the Lee Generals (Jonesville, VA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, October 15. Gate City will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record. The Generals enter the game with a 5-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA).
The Trojans (7-5) will now prepare for their game against Abingdon (Abingdon, VA). The Falcons enter the non-league game with a 14-0 record. In their last game, Abingdon held off Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA), 2-0, in a non-league game.
