Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Northwood Panthers (Saltville, VA) and the host Chilhowie Warriors (Chilhowie, VA), observed Northwood's volleyball team top Chilhowie by a count of 3-1.

The Panthers (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA). The Indians enter the Hogoheegee contest with a 14-7 record. In their last contest, Rural Retreat notched a victory over Honaker (Honaker, VA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Warriors battle the Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA) in a Hogoheegee contest, on Tuesday, October 15. Chilhowie will attempt to move on its 3-11 season record. The Rebels enter the contest with a 9-10 record after their 3-0 league win over Holston (Damascus, VA).
