The Grand Isle Trojans volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Lutheran Gryphons to 0 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Trojans now have a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Hanson Memorial for a Division V District 6 outing on Tuesday, October 15. Grand Isle will play a Tigers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Central Catholic (Morgan City, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 11-7.

With the loss, Lutheran drops to 1-10 on the campaign. The Gryphons host St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA) to play the Saints in a Division V District 8 outing on Tuesday, October 15. The Saints come into the outing with a record of 4-9. St. Martin's Episcopal lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA)
