Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) fans were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Howlers confront the Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 15. Penobscot Valley will attempt to better on its 11-1 season record. The Lynx enter the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 2-0 league loss to Bucksport (Bucksport, ME).

The Pirates now have a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lee Academy for a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 13. Piscataquis will confront a Pandas team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME). The Pandas record now stands at 0-10.
