In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Penobscot Valley Howlers soccer squad scored a good 9-1 triumph over the Piscataquis Pirates.
The Howlers (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Searsport (Searsport, ME). The Vikings come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Searsport was overwhelmed by Sumner (East Sullivan, ME), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
The Pirates (0-1) will now prepare for their battle against Dexter (Dexter, ME). The Tigers come into the Class C - North battle with a 0-0 record.
