In Tuesday's league battle, the host Altavista Colonels volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Gretna Hawks.
The Colonels (6-5) will now prepare for their battle against William Campbell (Naruna, VA). The Generals come into the Dogwood battle with a 0-11 record. In their last battle, William Campbell went down by Gretna (Gretna, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Hawks encounter the Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) in a Dogwood battle, on Thursday, October 13. Gretna will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Cavaliers come into the battle with a 3-13 record after their 3-1 league loss to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA).
