Next up, the Eagles face the Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) in a Mountain Empire contest, on Thursday, October 13. Auburn will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record. The Spartans go into the contest with a 15-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Narrows (Narrows, VA).

With the loss, Fort Chiswell moves to 2-16 on the year. The Pioneers host Galax (Galax, VA) to face the Maroon Tide in a Mountain Empire contest on Thursday, October 13. The Maroon Tide go into the contest with a record of 10-9. Galax won 3-1 in their recent league contest against Grayson County (Independence, VA)
