Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC) fans were pleased Wednesday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), 2-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Redskins confront the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A challenge, on Wednesday, October 18. Manteo will attempt to better on its 9-5 season record.

The Knights now have a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they host Holmes for a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A challenge on Monday, October 16. Currituck County will confront a Aces team coming off a 3-2 league win over Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC). The Aces record now stands at 8-7.
