The Hibriten Panthers topped the host Alexander Central Cougars volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Wednesday's league test.
The Panthers now have a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hickory for a non-league test on Thursday, October 12. Hibriten will confront a Red Tornadoes team coming off a 3-2 league loss to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC). The Red Tornadoes record now stands at 12-8.
The Cougars (4-15) will now prepare for their test against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots enter the Northwestern 3A/4A test with a 4-17 record. In their last test, Freedom was knocked off by Watauga (Boone, NC), 3-0, in a league test.
