In Monday's league battle, the host Hibriten Panthers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Alexander Central Cougars.

The Panthers (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Spartans come into the Northwestern 3A/4A battle with a 9-5 record. In their last battle, South Caldwell went down by Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Cougars encounter the Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A battle, on Wednesday, September 27. Alexander Central will attempt to move on its 2-12 season record. The Patriots come into the battle with a 4-12 record after their 3-0 league loss to Watauga (Boone, NC).
