The Hillsboro Spartans volleyball team (Hillsboro, OR), was nudged 3-2 in Wednesday's league challenge with the visiting Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Mustangs (Milwaukie, OR)

The Mustangs (11-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Putnam (Milwaukie, OR). The Kingsmen come into the 5A Northwest Oregon battle with a 7-13 record. In their last battle, Putnam was edged by Wilsonville (Wilsonville, OR), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Spartans clash with the Benson Tech Techmen (Portland, OR) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, October 14. Hillsboro will attempt to advance on its 2-22 season record. The Techmen come into the battle with a 0-13 record after their 3-0 league loss to Jefferson (Portland, OR).
