Texas High School Football - Winn falls to Nixon

October 11, 2024: Laredo, TX 78043

The Nixon Mustangs felled the visiting Winn Mavericks football team by a score of 42-13 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Jay Mustangs (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A-1 Region IV District 14 challenge, on Friday, October 18. Nixon will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Mustangs go into the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 49-0 league win over Cigarroa (Laredo, TX).

The Mavericks (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Martin (Laredo, TX). The Tigers go into the 5A-1 Region IV District 14 challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Martin lost by Southwest Legacy (Von Ormy, TX), 26-7, in a league challenge.
