In Friday's non-league challenge, the visiting Alabama School for the Deaf Silent Warriors volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Kentucky School for the Deaf Colonels.

The Silent Warriors (12-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Tennessee School for the Deaf (Knoxville, TN). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 3-13 record. In their last challenge, Tennessee School for the Deaf beat Kentucky School for the Deaf (Danville, KY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Colonels meet the Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs (Jackson, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 11. Kentucky School for the Deaf will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Nanih Waiya (Louisville, MS).
