Fans at Saturday's league battle between the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM), saw La Cueva's soccer squad triumph over Sandia by a count of 5-0.

The Bears (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Golden Eagles go into the 5A District 2 outing with a 13-1 record. In their last outing, Eldorado got by Manzano (Albuquerque, NM), 10-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Matadors confront the Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM) in a 5A District 2 outing, on Wednesday, October 15. Sandia will attempt to advance on its 5-11 season record.
