In Thursday's non-league battle, the host St. Pius X Sartans volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Grants Pirates.
The Sartans (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Jaguars come into the non-league battle with a 7-1 record.
Next, the Pirates clash with the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, October 17. Grants will attempt to advance on its 6-6 season record.
