The Newton-Conover Red Devils volleyball team (Newton, NC), was dropped 3-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC)

The Blue Devils (18-4) will now prepare for their challenge against West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Warriors enter the Catawba Valley Athletic 2A challenge with a 0-20 record. In their last challenge, West Caldwell was dropped by East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Coming up next, the Red Devils play the West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) in a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A bout, on Monday, October 16. Newton-Conover will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 12-13 record after their 3-0 league win over Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC).
