In Saturday's league outing, the host La Cueva Bears soccer squad scored a tight 5-0 victory over the Sandia Matadors.

The Bears (13-2) will now prepare for their outing against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Golden Eagles go into the 5A District 2 outing with a 12-3 record. In their last outing, Eldorado got by Manzano (Albuquerque, NM), 10-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Matadors play the Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM) in a 5A District 2 outing, on Wednesday, October 16. Sandia will attempt to improve on its 7-9 season record. The Jaguars go into the outing with a 4-10 record after their 2-0 league loss to Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM).
