In Wednesday's league outing, the visiting La Cueva Bears soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Sandia Matadors.

The Bears (8-2) will now prepare for their outing against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Golden Eagles go into the 5A District 2 outing with a 7-2 record. In their last outing, Eldorado got by Manzano (Albuquerque, NM), 6-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Matadors confront the Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM) in a 5A District 2 outing, on Saturday, September 28. Sandia will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Jaguars go into the outing with a 4-5 record after their 6-0 league loss to Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM).
