Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Bellevue West Thunderbirds (Bellevue, NE) and the host Lincoln High Links (Lincoln, NE), observed Bellevue West's volleyball team top Lincoln High by a count of 2-0.

The Thunderbirds (17-16) will now prepare for their contest against Millard South (Omaha, NE). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 12-15 record. In their last contest, Millard South was knocked off by Omaha Westside (Omaha, NE), 3-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Links battle the Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 12. Lincoln High will attempt to move on its 8-18 season record. The Islanders enter the contest with a 19-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Bellevue East (Bellevue, NE).
