Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Wisconsin School for the Deaf Firebirds (Delavan, WI) and the host Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf Trojans (Faribault, MN), observed Wisconsin School for the Deaf's volleyball team hold off Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf by a count of 2-1.

The Firebirds (16-8) will now prepare for their contest against New Mexico School for the Deaf (Santa Fe, NM). The Roadrunners enter the non-league contest with a 12-1 record. In their last contest, New Mexico School for the Deaf got by Coronado (Gallina, NM), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Trojans battle the Varsity Opponent (, ) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 22. Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record.
