The Pagosa Springs Pirates held off the visiting Montezuma-Cortez Panthers volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's league test.
The Pirates now have a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Centauri for a test on Saturday, October 15.
The Panthers (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Farmington (Farmington, NM). The Scorpions enter the non-league test with a 10-13 record. In their last test, Farmington held off Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM), 2-0, in a non-league test.
