Next up, the Vikings face the Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR) in a 3A Eastern Oregon contest, on Saturday, October 14. Vale will attempt to better on its 10-7 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 3-13 record after their 3-0 league loss to Burns (Burns, OR).

With the loss, McLoughlin moves to 6-10 on the year. The Pioneers host Nyssa (Nyssa, OR) to face the Bulldogs in a 3A Eastern Oregon contest on Friday, October 13. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a record of 8-15. Nyssa won 3-0 in their recent non-league contest against Ontario (Ontario, OR)
