Next up, the Vikings battle the Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR) in a 3A Eastern Oregon contest, on Saturday, September 23. Vale will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record. The Pirates come into the contest with a 2-8 record after their 3-0 league loss to Burns (Burns, OR).

With the loss, McLoughlin drops to 2-6 on the campaign. The Pioneers travel to Nyssa (Nyssa, OR) to battle the Bulldogs in a 3A Eastern Oregon contest on Friday, September 22. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 3-13. Nyssa lost 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Union (Union, OR)
