In Monday's league outing, the host Gray Stone Day Knights soccer squad scored a tight 7-2 victory over the Albemarle Bulldogs.

The Knights (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls go into the Yadkin Valley 2A/3A outing with a 2-11 record. In their last outing, South Stanly was overwhelmed by Union Academy (Monroe, NC), 9-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A outing, on Wednesday, October 15. Albemarle will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Comets go into the outing with a 5-10 record after their 1-1 league North Rowan (Spencer, NC).
