Fans at Monday's league battle between the Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC) and the host Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), saw Gray Stone Day's soccer squad knock off Albemarle by a count of 3-0.

The Knights (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls enter the Yadkin Valley 2A/3A battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, South Stanly by Union Academy (Monroe, NC), 12-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Bulldogs battle the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) in a Yadkin Valley 2A/3A match, on Wednesday, September 24. Albemarle will attempt to move on its 5-7 season record. The Comets come into the match with a 4-7 record after their 2-2 league North Rowan (Spencer, NC).
