In Friday's league battle, the host St. John's Cadets volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Bishop McNamara Mustangs.
The Cadets (13-3) will now prepare for their battle against St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD). The Knights come into the battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, St. Mary's Ryken lost by St. Paul VI (Chantilly, VA), 2-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Mustangs clash with the The Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD) in a battle, on Tuesday, October 18. Bishop McNamara will attempt to advance on its 2-9 season record. The Tartans come into the battle with a 1-2 record after their 2-0 league loss to St. Paul VI (Chantilly, VA).
