Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the East Ridge Warriors (Lick Creek, KY) and the host Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY), observed East Ridge's volleyball team top Pike County Central by a tally of 3-1.

The Warriors (10-11) will now prepare for their contest against Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY). The Bobcats enter the non-league contest with a 14-7 record. In their last contest, Betsy Layne beat Perry County Central (Hazard, KY), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Hawks meet the Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, October 15. Pike County Central will attempt to upgrade on its 9-13 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the contest with a 19-5 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY).
