The Pike County Central Hawks edged the host East Ridge Warriors volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league game.
Next up, the Hawks face the Tug Valley Panthers (Williamson, WV) in a non-league game, on Monday, October 7. Pike County Central will attempt to advance on its 6-12 season record. The Panthers go into the game with a 4-5 record after their 3-1 league win over St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV).
The Warriors (8-10) will now prepare for their game against Phelps (Phelps, KY). The Hornets go into the non-league game with a 3-11 record.
