In Tuesday's league outing, the host New Bedford Whalers soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Durfee Hilltoppers.

The Whalers (10-3) will now prepare for their outing against Hingham (Hingham, MA). The Harbormen enter the non-league outing with a 10-1 record. In their last outing, Hingham edged Plymouth South (Plymouth, MA), 5-0, in a league test.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they host Brockton for a Southeast test on Thursday, October 16. Durfee will clash with a Boxers team coming off a 1-1 non-league Norwell (Norwell, MA). The Boxers record now stands at 3-9.
