The New Bedford Whalers soccer squad scored 3 points and held the host Durfee Hilltoppers to 0 in the Whalers league victory on Friday.
The Whalers now hold a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Barnstable for a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 30. New Bedford will face a Red Hawks team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Dennis-Yarmouth Regional (South Yarmouth, MA). The Red Hawks record now stands at 6-2.
The Hilltoppers (2-7) will now prepare for their game against Brockton (Brockton, MA). The Boxers come into the Southeast game with a 2-7 record. In their last game, Brockton edged Xaverian Brothers (Westwood, MA), 5-2, in a non-league game.
