Michigan High School Volleyball - Newaygo over Big Rapids

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Newaygo Lions (Newaygo, MI) and the host Big Rapids Cardinals (Big Rapids, MI), observed Newaygo's volleyball team top Big Rapids by a count of 3-0.

The Lions (22-11) will now prepare for their contest against Spring Lake (Spring Lake, MI). The Lakers enter the non-league contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Spring Lake was knocked off by Unity Christian (Hudsonville, MI), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Cardinals battle the Grant Tigers (Grant, MI) in a Central State battle, on Tuesday, October 21. Big Rapids will attempt to improve on its 7-18 season record. The Tigers go into the battle with a 25-15 record after their 3-2 league win over Reed City (Reed City, MI).
