The Newaygo Lions volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Big Rapids Cardinals to 0 in the Lions non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now have a 26-13 record. They play next when they travel to Morley Stanwood for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 25. Newaygo will clash with a Mohawks team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Sacred Heart Academy (Grand Rapids, MI). The Mohawks record now stands at 21-11.
