In Saturday's league battle, the host Chaparral Lobos soccer squad scored a close 5-4 triumph over the Deming Wildcats.
The Lobos (1-14) will now prepare for their match against Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Desert Warriors come into the 4A District 3 match with a 8-8 record. In their last match, Santa Teresa got by Silver (Silver City, NM), 1-0, in a league match.
