In Saturday's non-league contest, the Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats (Cuba, IL) volleyball squad nudged the host Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Wildcats face the Hamilton/Warsaw Titans (Hamilton, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 15. Cuba/Spoon River Valley will attempt to better on its 18-10 season record. The Titans go into the contest with a 12-10 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Keokuk (Keokuk, IA).
