North Carolina High School Volleyball - Union Grove Christian over Matthews Christian Academy

Union Grove Christian Patriots (Lexington, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad top the host Matthews Christian Academy Colts (Matthews, NC), 3-0 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Patriots clash with the Vandalia Christian Vikings (Greensboro, NC) in a NCCSA AA District 2 - West Region match, on Monday, October 17. Union Grove Christian will attempt to advance on its 23-3 season record. The Vikings come into the match with a 13-6 record after their 3-0 league win over Gospel Light Christian (Walkertown, NC).

With the loss, Matthews Christian Academy drops to 12-5 on the campaign. The Colts host Cornerstone Christian Academy (Statesville, NC) to clash with the Crusaders in a NCCSA A District 1 match on Tuesday, October 18. The Crusaders come into the match with a record of 1-7. Cornerstone Christian Academy lost 3-0 in their recent league match against Victory Christian (Sylva, NC)
