Istrouma Indians (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Baker Buffaloes (Baker, LA), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians (18-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA). The Eagles come into the Division III District 5 challenge with a 13-10 record. In their last challenge, Parkview Baptist beat Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, LA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Buffaloes meet the Episcopal Knights (Baton Rouge, LA) in a Division IV District 6 challenge, on Monday, October 20. Baker will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 9-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Dunham (Baton Rouge, LA).
