In Wednesday's league challenge, the host Charlottesville Black Knights volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Orange County Fighting Hornets.

The Black Knights (5-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA). The Mustangs come into the Jefferson challenge with a 7-9 record. In their last challenge, Monticello was beaten by Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Fighting Hornets meet the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a Jefferson test, on Thursday, October 16. Orange County will attempt to advance on its 0-17 season record. The Flying Flucos go into the test with a 17-3 record after their 3-1 league win over Louisa County (Mineral, VA).
