The Floyd County Buffaloes held off the visiting Alleghany Cougars volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Monday's non-league test.
The Buffaloes now have a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Radford for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 17. Floyd County will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to James River (Buchanan, VA). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-16.
The Cougars (17-1) will now prepare for their test against Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Highlanders enter the non-league test with a 8-9 record. In their last test, Glenvar held off Floyd County (Floyd, VA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
