In Monday's league battle, the visiting Pender Patriots soccer squad scored a good 11-2 win over the East Columbus Gators.
The Patriots (14-4) will now prepare for their battle against West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC). The Vikings go into the Waccamaw 1A/2A battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, West Columbus was overwhelmed by Whiteville (Whiteville, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Gators (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against South Columbus (Tabor City, NC). The Stallions go into the Waccamaw 1A/2A battle with a 2-11 record. In their last battle, South Columbus was overwhelmed by Heide Trask (Rocky Point, NC), 9-1, in a league battle.
