In Monday's league battle, the host Amelia County Raiders volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Cumberland Dukes.
The Raiders (8-7) will now prepare for their battle against Buckingham (Buckingham, VA). The Knights come into the James River battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, Buckingham defeated Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA), 3-0, in a league battle.
Next, the Dukes encounter the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) in a James River battle, on Tuesday, October 18. Cumberland will attempt to move on its 0-14 season record. The Statesmen come into the battle with a 3-11 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA).
