The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 14-14. Sparta won 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against New Athens (New Athens, IL)

The Blackcats now own a 21-6 record. They play next when they travel to Trico for a Black Diamond West bout on Tuesday, October 18. Goreville will play a Pioneers squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Johnston City (Johnston City, IL). The Pioneers record now stands at 31-1.
