The Monticello Mustangs held off the visiting Albemarle Patriots volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Mustangs now have a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western Albemarle for a non-league test on Thursday, October 19. Monticello will confront a Warriors team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-4.
The Patriots (9-4) will now prepare for their test against Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA). The Black Knights enter the non-league test with a 1-11 record. In their last test, Charlottesville was nudged by Louisa County (Mineral, VA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
