The Albemarle Patriots volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Monticello Mustangs to 1 in the Patriots non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Patriots now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Orange County for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 12.
The Mustangs (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Turner Ashby (Bridgewater, VA). The Knights enter the non-league game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Turner Ashby was nudged by Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA), 2-0, in a non-league game.
