The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA) and the host Wakefield School Fighting Owls (The Plains, VA), saw Herndon's volleyball squad nip Wakefield School by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Herndon upgrades its record to 2-11 on the year. The Hornets host Yorktown (Arlington, VA) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 19. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 3-8. Yorktown lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA)

The Fighting Owls now own a 3-11 record.
