Texas High School Volleyball - Vega over Highland Park

The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX) and the visiting Highland Park Hornets (Amarillo, TX), saw Vega's volleyball squad beat Highland Park by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Vega upgrades its record to 15-14 on the year. The Longhorns travel to Memphis (Memphis, TX) to play the Cyclones in a 2A Region I District 1 bout on Saturday, October 21. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Memphis lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX)

The Hornets now own a 2-18 record. They play next when they host Sanford-Fritch for a 2A Region I District 1 bout on Saturday, October 21. Highland Park will play a Eagles squad coming off a 3-0 league win over West Texas (Stinnett, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 25-6.
