In Tuesday's league contest, the Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX) volleyball squad knocked off the host Highland Park Hornets (Amarillo, TX), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Longhorns battle the Memphis Cyclones (Memphis, TX) in a 2A Region I District 1 contest, on Saturday, September 30. Vega will attempt to better on its 13-11 season record.

With the loss, Highland Park drops to 2-13 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Sanford-Fritch (Fritch, TX) to battle the Eagles in a 2A Region I District 1 contest on Saturday, September 30. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 21-6. Sanford-Fritch won 3-0 in their recent league contest against West Texas (Stinnett, TX)
