In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Southside Panthers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Fort Payne Wildcats.

The Panthers (20-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Pell City (Pell City, AL). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 16-19 record. In their last challenge, Pell City beat Shades Valley (Birmingham, AL), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats play the Gadsden City Titans (Gadsden, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 17. Fort Payne will attempt to upgrade on its 25-20 season record. The Titans come into the challenge with a 4-18 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Glencoe (Glencoe, AL).
