In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Southside Panthers volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Fort Payne Wildcats.

The Panthers (16-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Glencoe (Glencoe, AL). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league challenge with a 22-13 record. In their last challenge, Glencoe beat Cleburne County (Heflin, AL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Florence Falcons (Florence, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 5. Fort Payne will attempt to upgrade on its 18-17 season record. The Falcons enter the challenge with a 3-21 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Hillcrest (Tuscaloosa, AL).
